King Orry is one of the most important figures in Manx history. A Norse-Gaelic ruler who is credited with establishing Tynwald.

Blending Norse traditions with local customs, Tynwald brought law, order and a shared system of governance to the island. It shaped the Isle of Man’s strong sense of independence, fairness and community decision-making.
